The Great Pumpkin Challenge

Exhibition of Fish Prints at Guyton's Fish Shop

Do go and see our exhibtion of prints at Guyton's Haven Road Fish Shop. Rob Sharland arranged for the children to exhibit their artworks in the shop. We included some photos of the children and the fish Rob sent along for motivation. Rueben wrote the thank you letter. Fish Prints by St Vincent Room at Auckland Point School
Our class are learning to make prints, we did fruit, vegetable, name and fish prints. When we needed some fish, we went down to Guytons Fish Shop to see Rob the Champion filleter. Rob said, “ What kind of fish do you need?” I said, “Flat fish we can print”. So Rob went into his gutting room and found some flounder, 2 arrow squid, 2 gurnard, a red perch fish and 1 big fat long fish, I think it was a hoki fish. We painted the fish and then put paper over the top and put pressure and massaged the fish. We were very pleased with our fish prints. We printed fish dinner prints, some of the kids did chips too. Thank you Rob for the fish.

Shane the plumber

St Vincent room has had a leaky tap for a long time. Today Shane came to fix it for us. He put on a brand new tap that doesn't leak like the old one and Judi is going to test it to see if it works.
